European Central Bank Selects 30 Members For Digital Euro Market Advisory Group

The European Central Bank (ECB) appoints 30 senior business professionals.
Notably, this is from financial institutions and similar organizations to its market advisory group. More so, this is for the digital euro project.

Furthermore, this appointment comes on the heels of the ECB’s launch of its digital euro project in July.
More so, The trial stage of the digital euro project is ongoing and will last for 24 months.

Notably, The 30 members include representatives from Deutsche Bank, Banque Populaire Caisse d’Epargne, European Payments Council. Also, from CaixaBank, National Association of German Cooperative Banks, Accenture Strategy. Then, lastly Consulting, La Banque Postale, Stripe, Nordea and Société Générale.

Additionally, these members will serve in personal capacity and advise on the design. Also, in distribution of a potential digital euro, according to the statement.

Furthermore, Representatives from the European Commission and Eurosystem national central banks will participate in the group also.

According to European Central Bank (ECB) Board Member Fabio Panetta, chair of the Eurosystem’s high-level task force on Central Bank Digital Currency.
