Decentralized Notification Service startup, EPNS raises USD 750k in a seed round

According to the latest publication, Ethereum based decentralized notification service (EPNS) raises $750K in a seed round. Ethereum Push Notification service or EPNS is a blockchain-based decentralized notification protocol for Dapps and Web3 projects. It is one of the first of its kind in the crypto industry. Moreover, it enables users to receive notifications in an agnostic way from various Dapps, smart contracts, or service platforms. The notification protocol’s valuation currently stands at $5 Million after the successful seed round of USD 750K.

The funding round of EPNS saw participation from industry leaders, including Balaji Srinivasan, Former CTO of Coinbase. Other notable names included Kenneth Ng of Ethereum Foundation, Preethi Kasireddy ( Former partner at a16z), Scott Moore ( Co-founder of Gitcoin), Anthony Sassano ( EthHub), Ravindra Kumar ( CEO at Frontier wallet), and others.

Venture firms like MetaCartel, Fourth RevolutionCapital, BlockRock Capital, TheLao, MoonWhale Ventures, LD Capital, and ProofSystems also participated in the funding round. Certainly, decentralized notifications pioneer, EPNS has achieved greater milestones right from its inception. Its achievements include positioning as a finalist at the Gitcoin’s kernel fellowship. The virtual accelerator program was dedicated to innovative blockchain startups. It additionally won grants from Matic and Aave. Furthermore, EPNS was shortlisted and mentored by the IDEO Colab PVD as one of the top 30 projects from the prevailing 120 projects. Moreover, some of EPNS advisors include Nischal Shetty (Founder, WazirX), DeFi Dad (COO,Zapper.io) and Vivek Singh (Co-founder, Gitcoin)

EPNS to gamify the stone age era of communication for Web3 Projects.

In an official press statement, Harsh Rajat at EPNS said,

“Notifications are a basic necessity for dApps and smart contracts and
should not be an option for a popular smart contract, but a communication
layer that should be accessible to everyone. This is the crucial missing piece
of web3 infrastructure that will enable adoption. Innovation drives enthusi-
asts but adoption needs user ease and engagement. We are truly grateful
and happy to have the funding that will go into building the world’s first de-
centralized notification protocol!”
— Harsh Rajat, Founder, Ethereum Push Notification Service

EPNS aims to provide a seamless communication layer for Dapps and web3 applications. Additionally, it aims to become the market leader for Web3 applications to provide them an effective communication layer. Moreover, it further enables crypto users to receive notifications that they are interested in and rewards for enabling the service. The incentivization feature and communication service make it ideal for most projects to integrate it on their platforms, thus keeping their users informed.
