Polkadot announces that Kusuma is finally ready to host the parachains. The rollout of this protocol has been ongoing since August, when the project launched its rococo testnet. Kusuma is the sister chain of the Polkadot platform. It is ready for the rollout of the parachains on the network.

Gavin wood created Polkadot and Kusuma. He said in a blog that Polkadot was entering the fourth and final phase of its mainnet launch. Moreover, the launch involves deploying parachains to the Kusuma network.
Upgrade
Wood also added that the development arm behind Polkadot Technologies had released an upgrade to Polkadot version 0.9 for Kusuma, which is now finally ready to host parachains. He said that the launch of the parachains would proceed following a full external audit on the new version of Polkadot and Kusuma.
Crowdloans
In addition, it also executes at least one successful auction involving crowdloans and hosting at least one functional parachain in the wild. However, Wood did not provide a specific timeline. He also added that he expected the audit to be completed shortly, with the Kusuma website announcing the first of five auctions one week in advance.
Polkadot’s Auction
Wood said that after Kusuma’s first auctions are complete successfully, Polkadot’s auctions will happen soon after.
