Stablecoin issuer Tether Holdings Ltd. recently announced a partnership with a crypto payments provider, Xion Global, to advance blockchain education in South Africa. The collaboration aims to both demonstrate the benefits of stablecoin payments and build trust in digital financial solutions.

Building Trust in Digital Financial Solutions

Stablecoin issuer Tether Holdings Ltd. partnered with Xion Global to advance blockchain education in South Africa. 

The initiative will offer educational resources like videos, case studies, and interactions with industry leaders, focusing on cryptocurrency payments. 

The collaboration aims to not only demonstrate the benefits of stablecoin payments but also build trust in digital financial solutions.

In a recent statement, Tether said the initiative aligns with its broader goal of making digital asset education accessible to everyone. 

Previously, the stablecoin issuer sponsored the Africa Tech Summit and African Bitcoin Conference in Ghana and partnered with Bitnob to educate students across Ghanaian universities.

Commenting on Tether’s latest educational collaboration targeting Africa, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said:

“We’re excited about this alliance with Xion Global, which represents a significant step in our commitment to global digital education and the informed use of cryptocurrencies. This collaboration will open new possibilities for financial inclusion and economic empowerment in South Africa.”

Aeryn Quarmby, COO of Xion Global, expressed hope that the partnership with Tether would help boost residents’ understanding of stablecoin payments. Quarmby added that the collaboration aims to make digital transactions “as intuitive and reliable as traditional methods.”
