From a Facebook Community to a Global Crypto Voice: The 6-Year Journey of BitcoinWorld Media

In the uncertain early months of 2020, when the world was locking down and markets were in freefall, two young professionals in India saw an opportunity where most saw only risk. Mohit Kumar had already built something rare: a Facebook community called BitcoinWorld that had crossed 100,000 members. What began as a space for crypto conversations was starting to feel bigger than a group. Keshav Aggarwal, then working at Entrepreneur India, looked at that community and saw a media platform waiting to be born.

That conversation became BitcoinWorld Media.

They started with whatever funds they had between them. No big investors, no polished pitch decks, no fancy office. Just a simple website  –  (https://bitcoinworld.co.in/)  –  and a shared belief that independent, consistent crypto coverage still had a place. In the beginning, Mohit and Keshav were everything: co-founders, salesmen, accountants, editors, and the entire operations team. They wrote, published, chased partnerships, handled invoices, and answered reader messages themselves.

Six years later, the company that began as a side project during COVID has become a steadily growing media house with a global footprint.

Building in Public, One Article at a Time

The early years were defined by persistence more than polish. While many crypto media experiments rose and disappeared with the market cycles, BitcoinWorld Media kept publishing. The audience grew gradually but meaningfully. Today the website reaches approximately 300,000 monthly readers, with a significant portion of traffic coming from the United States, across Asia, and from Singapore.

On social platforms the presence is equally deliberate. BitcoinWorld Media has built:

– Over 100,000 followers on Binance Square

– 18,000 followers on X (with the Golden Badge)

– 12,500 followers on CoinMarketCap

In 2023, Binance recognized the platform with the Creator of the Year award. In 2025, it was named among The Blockchain 100 for top crypto press. These recognitions did not arrive overnight. They reflected years of consistent coverage across Bitcoin, DeFi, RWAs, memecoins, BNB Chain developments, and the broader market narrative.

From Two Founders to a Six-Person Team

What began as a two-person operation has matured into a focused team of six people handling operations, accounts, content, strategy, and business development. The company is now registered in the United States, in Austin, Texas  –  a practical step that reflects both ambition and the need for clearer international structure.

The editorial engine runs 24/7. News is published around the clock, and the platform has expanded its coverage beyond pure crypto. In early 2025, BitcoinWorld Media began publishing regularly on AI and Forex, responding to reader interest and the natural overlap between these markets and digital assets.

Partnerships have also scaled. The company now works with more than 920 clients and agencies. Distribution reaches across 13+ media channels, allowing stories to travel further than any single website could achieve alone.

What the Journey Actually Required

Looking back, the most important decision was not a particular article or a viral post. It was the decision to keep showing up when the market was quiet, when ad revenue was thin, and when the founders were still doing every role themselves. The partnership between Mohit and Keshav has held for six years  –  a longer stretch than many crypto ventures last. That continuity, more than any single metric, is the quiet foundation of the company.

BitcoinWorld Media did not start with institutional capital or a famous brand. It started with a Facebook group that had already proven people wanted to talk about Bitcoin, and with two people willing to turn that conversation into a publication. The rest has been the unglamorous work of consistency: publishing every day, building trust with readers, forming real partnerships, and slowly professionalizing the business without losing the original voice.

Six years in, the company is still independent, still growing, and still publishing. In an industry that moves at high speed and often forgets its own history, that alone is worth noting.
