Covid vaccinations will be tracked using, eZTracker Zuellig Pharma’s blockchain platform

Zuellig Pharma, a Singapore-based medical services company, is leveraging its eZTracker blockchain-based medical tracking solution to improve vaccine transparency by detecting expired or mismanaged Covid-19 doses.

To improve supply chain transparency and prevent black market trafficking of supplies. That’s, the eZTracker system confirms the legitimacy of vaccinations and other medical products.

Through a smartphone app, QR codes on product packaging can be scanned to verify information such as the expiry date, temperature, and condition.

While eZTracker was first introduced in Hong Kong and Thailand in 2020 to assist consumers track authorized pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. So, the blockchain platform is now being used to prevent mistakes like the administration of outdated Covid-19 vaccinations.

The Covid-19 outbreak is currently in its fifth wave in Hong Kong. That’s, with a daily record of 164 illnesses reached last Thursday.
