Turkey’s 3rd largest bank, Garanti BBVA, has officially launched its new cryptocurrency wallet and transfer app, Garanti BBVA Kripto, for the iOS platform.
In its statement, Garanti BBVA announced the app where it claimed that cryptocurrency assets will be stored in the cold wallet infrastructure.
“As Garanti BBVA Crypto, we continue our work with the vision of becoming a leading crypto asset service provider in Turkey. To begin with, we are offering a wallet service in which you can transfer your crypto assets and store them safely. We’ll continue our work for more.”
The new app promises that Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and USD Coin (USDC) assets will be stored in the cold wallet.
However, it was also stated that the number of supported assets will be increased in the near future.

According to the official statement, Garanti BBVA Crypto’s features include offline wallet infrastructure that provides high security, continuous internal and external audits, real-time crypto asset monitoring and call center support.
According to the information shared, users can now register by downloading Garanti BBVA Crypto to their phones.
The registration process includes email address and mobile phone verification, password selection and account verification steps.
Users will be able to verify their identities by filling out their personal information and customer identification form, approving the required documents, completing additional information, and uploading the new type of ID cards to the system.
To enable account activation, users must transfer money in the amount of 1 TL from their bank accounts to their Garanti BBVA Crypto account.
Users who want to transfer their crypto assets to Garanti BBVA Crypto can get the QR code or copy the address of the relevant crypto asset.
They can send their Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and USD Coin (USDC) assets on other platforms to Garanti BBVA Crypto via crypto withdrawal.
