In the music industry, Elon Musk trolls NFT skeptics

Elon Musk has created yet another meme mocking NFT naysayers, this time in the music industry. In a tweet, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a great fan of memes, brought up the subject of NFTs once more.

He posted a cover of a Gorillaz album from 2005 today, with the caption “No way, NFTs made an album???” written over it.

NFTs are rapidly gaining traction in a variety of industries, including fashion, art, painting, and music. Tony Lanez, a rapper, released his latest album “When It’s Dark” as a non-fungible token in August of this year.

NFTs are one-of-a-kind and cannot be duplicated. Furthermore, they serve as proof-of-ledger for an item represented by an NFT.

Kings of Leon and even Grimes, Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his baby born last year, are among the musicians who have begun to distribute their songs and albums as NFTs.

In early March, Kings of Leon released an NFT with their new album “When You See Yourself.” “War Nymph Collection,” a collection of digital art NFTs by Grimes, was also released.

Elon Musk himself offered a song about NFTs for sale as an NFT on March 15, tweeting that it “does not feel entirely right selling this.”
