Trading Volume for Ripple (XRP) Drops to a Quarterly Low of $436 Billion

The quarterly trading volume of Ripple’s XRP was three times lower than the volume in the first quarter of 2021.

Over the course of the period, this had a negative impact on trade volume.

In the first quarter of 2022, the trading volume of XRP was at $203.94 billion.

This was a 68 percent decrease in trade volume from the same time period in 2021. The trading volume of XRP was over $640.70 billion in the first quarter of 2021.

The volume recorded during the first quarters of 2021 and 2022 differed by $436.75 billion.

The CAUSE

The trading pairs with the United States Dollar Tether (USDT) stablecoin were among the top-10 markets for XRP in the first quarter of 2022. Aside from Tether, XRP also has a pair with the Binance United States Dollar (BUSD), which has seen a lot of trading volume on numerous platforms.

In January 2021, the trading volume of XRP was over $212.56 billion. The all-time high volume was $24 billion in a single day. Investor interest waned in January 2022, resulting in a trading volume of roughly $53.05 billion. The all-time high volume was $3.61 billion in a single day.

Positive crypto market optimism saw XRP reach a trading volume of $293.94 billion in February 2021. The all-time high volume was $34 billion in a single day. The asset had a trading volume of roughly $80.91 billion in February 2022, with a best single-day volume of $6.15 billion.

The trade volume in March 2021 was $134.19 billion. The month’s highest single-day volume was roughly $9.73 billion. The trade volume in March 2022 was $69.97 billion. The all-time high volume was $3.73 billion in a single day.
