Israeli web development service Wix announces a partnership with cryptocurrency payments processor BitPay. Notably, Wix has 210 million users worldwide.
Wix also plane to gain more expansions and cover much areas, which explains its delve into Cryptocurrency. As per an Oct. 12 press release, Wix eCommerce platform adds a list of cryptocurrencies as new payment options.
Which of course, the list includes the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
Furthermore, This new feature will be launching out in phases.
Ad first, cryptocurrencies are accepted in the U.S, Canada, the U.K., Germany, and Brazil sectors.
Meanwhile, This new partnership will ultimately permit merchants to get the attention of new cryptocurrency-friendly clients.
Wix’s Omer Shatzky explains further,
“With BitPay, Wix merchants have access to a whole new market of customers…”
“who prefer to pay with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and an avenue…”
“for their business to tap into the growing cryptocurrency market.”
Lastly, as t February, Wix is considered to be Israel’s biggest company. Which of course, has its market cap amassing a huge $20 billion.
However, the shares are down by 27.48% year-to-date though, as this new partnership is set to bring it up.
