A Whale Sells $7 Million Worth of ENA at a Loss
Recently, blockchain explorer Lookonchain revealed that a big investor had sold most of their ENA holdings. According to the data, this whale first staked 6.01 million ENA, worth $5.71 million, after withdrawing it from Binance at $0.95.
As the price of ENA climbed, they withdrew an additional 3.32 million ENA, worth $4.76 million, from Binance five days later at $1.44, only to see the price fall later.
The whale eventually unstaked their ENA and sold it at a loss. They deposited 8.33 million ENA, worth $6.94 million, in Binance at an average price of $0.83, leaving them with 1 million ENA, worth $823,000, and a total loss of $2.71 million. This whale’s move showed that it was no longer profitable to hodl ENA. Since Lookonchain revealed the sale, ENA has lost 16.9% of its value.
Analysts say this negative sentiment toward ENA could cause the token to fall further to $0.50 within the next month.
Top Trader Alleges Irregularities in Worldcoin’s Tokenomics
A top trader with the handle DefiSquared on X recently questioned the integrity of the Worldcoin team. He alleged that WLD’s tokenomics are set up to benefit insiders.
He added that WLD is being devalued by 0.6% a day from emissions of grant and operator claims, most of which are sold almost immediately based on on-chain analytics. He also alleged that Worldcoin’s ongoing sale of $200 million worth of tokens is being sold at discounts to competing entities to benefit the Foundation.
Finally, he adds that when VC and team unlocks begin vesting, WLD supply will begin inflating at 4% per day from unlocks and emissions. This is almost $50 million a day of nonstop sell pressure while coin insiders plan to cash out at $60 billion FDV.
Since DefiSquared disclosed his allegations, WLD has lost 22%. Analysts say traders are selling their WLD to be on the safe side. They add that WLD could fall further to $4.88 next week.
