AC Milan asks fans to develop a new motto after ACM token launch

AC Milan, the Italian football giant, has just launched its fan token, allowing fans to vote on a season’s club motto. As per the official announcement, the club’s ACM fan token is now live on fan engagement Socios.com. The token is trading at $6.68. Further, the team has demanded Milan’s fans formulate a new motto after its token creation. It will substitute the earlier “team of devils” motto. The poll intends to grant over 500 million AC Milan fans worldwide with an opportunity to promote their favorite football stars.

Collaborating with the blockchain firm Chiliz, AC Milan is launching the ACM token with a team motto poll that will witness ACM holders develop and vote to inspire players for the 2020-2021 Serie A playing season. The AC Milan will place the winning motto in the first-team dressing room at the San Siro stadium. ACM holders will also profit from a range of different characteristics. These involve participation in team decisions, exclusive rewards, and experiences, as well as virtual memorabilia, competitions, and super-fan recognition.

AC Milan announced plans to launch its fan token in January 2021

However, AC Milan declared its intentions to introduce the ACM fan token on Chiliz in January 2021 to approach the club fans amidst ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. Before helping AC Milan launch their fan token, Chiliz and Socios found several tokens for multiple sports clubs and organizations. It involves FC Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. Barcelona fans employed the tokens to vote on the placement of a fan-designed artwork in the team dressing rooms. Nevertheless, Juventus fans had an opportunity to choose the club’s new celebration song.

AC Milan accompanies an expanding list of world-class teams joining the token fan space. Last year, Juventus and Paris St. Germain started their fan tokens, JUV and PSG, in collaboration with Chiliz. Additionally, the launch also made the token accessible on the Socios app, providing fans access to elite club benefits. Further, both tokens were listed by cryptocurrency exchange Binance in December, marking surges of above 300% on the first day of trade. Binance also registered ATM and ASR fan tokens, depicting Spanish teams Atlético Madrid and Italian team Roma Football Club.
