As Elvis Presley Enters the Metaverse, Sandbox (SAND) jumped 20%

Sandbox, a prominent Metaverse platform, announced on May 26 that it would collaborate with Elvis On-Chain to bring the King of Rock and Roll to the virtual world.

Elvis Presley Enterprises and Run it Wild, a Web3 studio that started the project earlier this year, are part of the alliance. Decentraland, Dappraft, Metakey, and Voxel Architects are among the partners, in addition to the Sandbox.

To commemorate Elvis Presley’s birthday, 1,935 Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be released as an all-access pass to the Elvis-On-Chain Metaverse, which will debut on June 1.

Sandbox works with Voxel Architects

The Sandbox is working with Voxel Architects to create Elvis avatars. They will be used in the new Elvis universe, which will serve as a gathering place for Elvis lovers all around the world. In the new environment, users can take on the role of ‘The King’ in a variety of ways, interacting with others and trading digital relics.

After the genesis NFT mint, Decentraland will throw an Elvis Block Party. It will also be a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of Elvis impersonators in the Metaverse.

Elvis accoutrements, such as his costume and styled wig, will be available to attendees. Holders of the coveted Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be awarded officially licensed Elvis Decentraland wearables at the same time, according to the story.

$SAND spikes 20%

Sandbox Metaverse project’s native token jumped about 20% in the first 12 hours after the announcement, but then retraced slightly. At the time of writing, SAND had reached an intraday high of $1.52 before recovering slightly to $1.40.

Over the last week, the Metaverse coin has increased by 23%, going in the opposite direction of most crypto assets. Last week, it added to its momentum by acquiring Uruguayan IT business Cualit. According to CoinGecko, SAND is presently selling for 83 percent less than its all-time high of $8.48 set in November.
