BTC Markets, an Australian cryptocurrency exchange, has teamed up with Ajla Tomljanovic, the country’s No. 2 tennis player, to produce limited-edition non-fungible tokens ahead of the Australian Open (NFTs).
The NFTs will be in the form of a Proof of Attendance Protocol, which will allow owners to compete for a face-to-face meeting with Tomljanovic, similar to a digital concert ticket stub demonstrating attendance.
BTC Markets claims that it is seeking to “break new ground” in terms of attracting more female investors.
Over the last year, female investors on BTC Markets climbed by 172 percent, compared to less than 80 percent for men.
