Renowned Indian crypto influencer, Crypto Aman YouTuber, has come forward with a shocking claim that he was scammed out of $80,000 (75 lakh in INR ) by one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the industry, Gate.io. With an established presence of eight years in the crypto field, Crypto Aman YouTuber boasts a substantial following and has been instrumental in changing the lives of hundreds of individuals. Now, he seeks justice for himself and aims to set an example for the entire crypto community.

On May 15, 2023, Crypto Aman YouTuber made a deposit of 3365 ORDI tokens from his Unisat decentralised wallet to his Gate.io wallet. At the time of the deposit, these tokens were worth approximately $80,000 (75 lakh in INR ) . However, to his dismay, when he checked his Gate.io account after two hours, he discovered that the tokens had not been credited. Despite numerous attempts to contact Gate.io’s customer support, he received nothing but repetitive responses, urging him to “have patience.”

In an effort to resolve the issue, Crypto Aman YouTuber created a support ticket , clearly explaining the details of his deposit. Shockingly, Gate.io’s customer support claimed they had not received any tokens from his end . In disbelief, he verified the transaction on the blockchain, which confirmed the transfer had been completed an hour after he initiated it . Determined to find a solution, Crypto Aman YouTuber sought assistance from fellow YouTubers, who attempted to contact Gate.io’s customer support on his behalf. Astonishingly, Gate.io’s representatives asserted that his transaction was invalid, and to support their claim, they presented a screenshot from the experimental ordiscan website, a platform they themselves deemed unreliable. They even refused to verify the transaction through alternative trusted platforms like Unisat , Ordinals. com , Blockstream , or OKlink.com .
Crypto Aman YouTuber subsequently reached out to Unisat, which confirmed that Gate.io had indeed received the funds. He shared the chat screenshot with Unisat as evidence , but Gate.io’s customer support remained adamant, refusing to credit his account with the 3365 ORDI tokens.
Left with dwindling hope, Crypto Aman YouTuber turned to Twitter as a means of exerting pressure on Gate. io . He created a detailed thread, providing evidence to support his claims, and tagged both Gate.io’s Twitter handle and the Indian Gate Twitter handle. Subsequently, Gate.io’s support team responded, assuring him of a resolution, and he is currently awaiting the return of his funds.
Gate.io’s support team now alleges that the transaction was invalid and has been canceled, promising a refund within a week . This raises a crucial question: how can a transaction that has already taken place be canceled? Moreover, if the transaction was cancelled then how they can refund my 3365 tokens.
