Dapper Labs Records Hitting $7.5 Billion Valuation After Securing $250 Million Funding

Dapper Labs is the NFT development studio in charge of popular NFT series. This includes Crypto Kitties and NBA Top Shot.

I’s behind the next-generation Flow blockchain goes on to announce closing a new Series D funding round for $250 million.

Dapper Labs’ currently estimates its valuation to $7.5 billion, a roughly $5 billion spike from its previous sitting.

Coatue, a global investment manager focused on public and private companies in the technology, media and telecommunications industries.

Coatue is widely know and responsible for leading the studio’s Series C funding round earlier in March. Of course, the project secured a whopping $305 million.

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), GV (formerly known as Google Ventures), and Version One Ventures also is part of this Dapper Labs’ funding. Furthermore, New investors like San Francisco-based investment firm BOND headed by Mary Meeker, and GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation) is among the participating investors.

“Dapper Labs will use the new funding to continue to scale and support major additional brand-driven sports, entertainment and music based products coming online and develops on the Flow blockchain,”

the NFT firm shared in a statement.

Dapper with LaLiga Soccer League

Dapper Labs announces partnership with LaLiga, the soccer league in Spain, ranks among the most popular leagues in the world. For instance, this partnership will offer new digital collectibles in the form of NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

This is designed particularly for the league’s global fanbase.

Additionally, The firm recorded a significant growth this year with over $780 million in NFT transactions. For instance, this amounts to over 1.1 million accounts active on its platform.
