Elon Musk gives Headups on StarLink Accepting Dogecoin

Elon Musk, the entrepreneur, has hinted that satellite internet provider Starlink may begin accepting Dogecoin, the world’s largest meme currency.

To such a request from the community, the quirky entrepreneur reacted with a winking face emoji.

Customers at the farthest reaches of the globe will be able to access high-speed broadband internet through Starlink. After dozens of launches, the business now has almost 2,000 operational satellites. The service is $99 per month in addition to the $499 hardware kit.

Musk SpaceX might be able to accept Dogecoin payments as well. According to U.Today, the space exploration corporation has already accepted DOGE for the DOGE-1 moon mission, which will launch in the first quarter of 2022.

Tesla, the electric vehicle maker, began accepting Dogecoin as payment for certain of its products, causing the cryptocurrency’s price to skyrocket. So, Musk first revealed the proposal in December.

Tesla authorized Bitcoin payments in March, but 49 days later, it halted them owing to environmental concerns.

Musk also tried to persuade McDonald’s to take Dogecoin in late January, but it didn’t work out, and the fast-food behemoth laughed it off.

Meanwhile, according to CoinMarketCap data, Dogecoin has re-entered the top ten largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

Together with rival Shiba Inu, the meme coin has been marginally in the green during the last 24 hours.
