Naver’s Zepeto metaverse partners with True, Thailand’s largest telecom company

In order to expand Thailand’s metaverse ecology, True Corporation and Naver Z, the South Korean company that runs the Zepeto metaverse, have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

True will offer a future-focused, online-to-offline experience using Zepeto as a platform, helping to advance Thailand’s soft power in the production of metaverse content.

No specific financial information about the relationship was provided.

According to Zepeto, the platform in Thailand has 500,000 or more content creators in addition to millions of users.

It illustrates how the K-pop material on the platform, including its partnership with the girl group Blackpink, has increased its appeal in Thailand.

Over 20 million monthly average users (MAU) were announced by Naver Z, a South Korean internet behemoth Naver subsidiary, with over 95% of users being millennials and members of Generation Z from countries other than Korea.
