Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a positive remark for Blockchain and backed it for the future growth. PM Narendra Modi believes that blockchain is an ‘opportunity in frontier technology’ as his remarks gives hope for cryptocurrency to build-up.
PM Modi made the remarks at the India Ideas Summit, hosted by the US-India Business Council on Wednesday. He has opened arms for multinational investment in the country.
Modi was of the opinion that opportunities in technology include the technologies of 5G, Big data analytics, Quantum computing.
“Opportunities in technology also include opportunities in the frontier technologies of 5G, Big data analytics, Quantum computing, Blockchain and Internet of things,”
He also said that half a billion people have connected to internet which presents a major opportunity for companies.
Indian crypto outlet, Crypto Kanoon, retweeted Modi’s sentiments and said that it is important to embrace public blockchains.
“China is integrating state backed Blockchain network with six public blockchains in the world. It’s important that we embrace public blockchains and bring clear regulation around the whole subject.”
