Notwithstanding its legal distress, Ripple proceeds its hiring spree. The blockchain company is now seeking a director of engineering for its RippleX subsidiary formerly known as Xpring. The eligible candidate will have to operate with both engineering and cross-functional teams to participate in the growth of the IOV (Internet of Value) with the help of XRP Ledger and other technologies.

The future hire should have a considerably impressive skill set. He or she needs to have more than 12 years of leadership experience in engineering and an established track record of giving internet-scale products. The perks that come with the job involve 100% paid medical insurance simultaneously with flexible vacation policy.

This week, Ripple hired software engineer and XRP advocate Matt Hamilton as its director of developer relations on the RippleX team. He will commence his new job in February. In his statement, he stated that the adoption of XRPL was only getting begun. Earlier, RippleX revealed a Java library for communicating with XRPL Ledger back in December. It was its very first project after commencement.

Moreover, Ripple has been extending its services. Earlier, Ripple signed a deal with a Malaysian money transfer business and Bangladesh’s largest mobile financial services provider to allow a remittance passage between them. Malaysia’s Mobile Money and Bangladesh’s bKash will leverage Ripple’s global payments network, RippleNet, for wallet-to-wallet transactions. The expansion and proposed new hire show Ripple does not appear discouraged by the legal troubles in the U.S. The company is being accused by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over the claim that it infringed federal securities laws by trading the XRP to retail customers.

Following the lawsuit, various exchanges have stopped trading XRP. The crypto venues who have suspended XRP trading include OKCoin, Coinbase, Bittrex, Genesis, Binance.US, eToro, and Kraken exchange. Recently, Ripple’s CEO, announced that Devraj Varadhan has followed Ripple as its new Senior Vice President of Engineering. He is a former Vice president at Amazon for enhancing delivery experience.
