Soccer Giant AC Milan Seals Sponsorship Agreement With Crypto Exchange Bitmex

AC Milan and Bitmex have signed a long-term cooperation arrangement to see the cryptocurrency exchange’s logo appear on Milan’s jerseys. It is part of the sponsorship arrangement that Bitmex will become Milan’s official cryptocurrency trading partner and official sleeve sponsor.

Bitmex Brand to Feature on Sleeves of Milan Playing Kits

AC Milan announced on Tuesday that Bitmex, a major crypto derivatives platform, will be the club’s Official Cryptocurrency Trading Partner. According to a press statement posted on the company’s website, two sides have agreed to a multi-year sponsorship.

Under the deal, it will also become the first-ever Official Sleeve Partner of the soccer team. Additionally, men’s and women’s teams will wear Bitmex sleeve patches in all tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League. On the AQM team’s jersey, you’ll see that same emblem on the sleeves.

Bitmex Enters World of Football and Esports

This is Bitmex’s first foray into the worlds of football and esports, according to the partners. Trading services for bitcoin derivatives goods such as the everlasting swap are well-known in the crypto sector. Alexander Höptner, Bitmex’s CEO, commented on the contract with Milan:

“Our partnership with AC Milan is the start of a hugely exciting new chapter for Bitmex as we look to ramp up brand awareness and increase understanding of crypto.”

AC Milan Being Progressive

Höptner praised Milan for its heritage while acknowledging that “one of the world’s most progressive football clubs” is engaging with soccer fans around the globe. “We can’t wait to start interacting with the global Rossoneri family,” he further added.

In the words of AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer Casper Stylsvig, “Our red and black shirt is not just something our players wear on the pitch, it represents who we are, and it embodies the passion of the over 500 million AC Milan fans across the world.”

“This is truly an exciting partnership and the beginning of a great journey for both brands and our fans,” he stressed.
