Two Weeks Until SPiCE Southeast Asia 2026: Speakers Share What's to Come

SPiCE Southeast Asia 2026 will take place from 5 – 7 August at The Landmark Bangkok, Thailand, bringing together regulatory experts, operators, technology providers and investors from across the region. With regulation, technology and consumer expectations all shifting at once across the region, this platform offers a valuable opportunity to take stock of where the industry stands.

Just two weeks out, this year’s agenda spans three days of policy, strategy and innovation, from opening night celebrations through to closing discussions on sustainable growth across the region.

What to Expect

Day One will kick off with the SP‘iCE’ Breaker Welcoming Evening, followed by the SPiCE Southeast Asia Eventus Awards Ceremony, honouring the year’s most outstanding contributors to the industry – proudly co-sponsored by K36 and Bally’s Colombo.

Day Two will take a close look at operating within a regulated market, with sessions dedicated to regulatory frameworks in action, building resilient operational infrastructure, and consolidating KYC, AML and fraud efforts, plus a session on strategic intelligence as a tool for early risk detection.

Day Three will centre on strategy and people, with discussions spanning localisation for Southeast Asia’s varied audiences, the strategic use of AI, and how businesses across the region will build the teams required to keep pace, closing with a synthesis session on sustainable, long-term growth.

Speakers Weigh In

Ahead of taking the event, several of this year’s distinguished speakers shared a preview of what’s to come.

Evan Spytma (CEO of C+) will open SPiCE Southeast Asia 2026 with a keynote titled ‘The Direction of Southeast Asia’s Entertainment Economy’. Previewing the session, he said:

“Southeast Asia is no longer an emerging entertainment market – it’s becoming one of the world’s most influential. As regulation evolves, technology accelerates, and consumer expectations shift, the question is no longer where the industry is heading, but who will shape its future. We’ll explore the opportunities, challenges, and decisions that will define the next chapter of Southeast Asia’s entertainment economy.”

On the themes he’ll raise during the ‘Responsible Participation and Consumer Protection’ panel discussion, Nikon J. Gormley (Board Member of the Bangkok Startup Association) said:

“In the rush to optimise and scale, the industry often overlooks the most critical variable: the human element. Responsible participation isn’t a compliance box to tick – it’s about cutting through the noise to build genuine trust and safety for the consumer. At SPiCE Southeast Asia, I’ll be sharing why a simpler, more grounded approach to consumer protection is ultimately the most resilient strategy a business can choose.”

Set to join the discussion ‘Visibility, Trust and Market Engagement’, Priya Ahlawat (Founder of Jumping Play Studio and Asia Ambassador for Eventus International) offered this insight:

“Strong brands are built through consistency, credibility, and meaningful engagement with the industry. During this session, I’ll share practical insights on how businesses can strengthen their market presence, build trust with partners, and create long-term opportunities through authentic relationships and strategic visibility.”

With this calibre of insight on the agenda, SPiCE Southeast Asia 2026 is shaping up to be an edition attendees won’t want to miss.

Last Chance to Nominate an Industry Standout

The SPiCE Southeast Asia Eventus Awards, taking place during the opening evening on 5 August, will honour the operators, providers and individuals driving progress across the region’s entertainment and gaming industry.
