Two of the most popular Bitcoin entrepreneurs claimed that they have amassed a multi-billion-dollar BTC fortune.

Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss confirm that they own 1% of all Bitcoin in existence, which is equivalent to 184,610 BTC, in a meeting with Barstool Sports founder and day trader Dave Portnoy. At the current price of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency holdings of the Gemini founders amount to over $2.2 billion.

CNBC reported that the Winklevoss twins bought their huge BTC stack back in 2013 for $11 million. Their investment has grown by almost 20,000% in seven years.

“We think of Bitcoin like internet gold. So the same qualities that make gold valuable, the fact that is scarce, Bitcoin is actually fixed in value but it’s digital. It lives on the internet. If you think of why gold is interesting, Bitcoin is gold for the internet,” Portnoy said.

Portnoy has at least invested $200,000 into the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market cap. He further bought $50,000 worth of ChainLink (LINK) tokens, the fifth-largest crypto.
