WWE Launches Undertaker NFTs Before WrestleMania

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), an American media company, will launch a series of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) themed about famous wrestler The Undertaker ahead of its forthcoming WrestleMania event. Mark Calaway, well-known as the Undertaker, retired from professional wrestling in November 2020, 33 years after his appearance. The Undertaker’s main features are his gothic horror and supernatural-themed persona. He won various titles during his career. It involves a three-time World Heavyweight Champion and maintaining the longest unmatched winning streak at Wrestlemania, with twenty-one wins and zero losses.

Declaring the news on Thursday, WWE said that the NFTs would be dropped on Bitski’s website, a crypto wallet provider, on April 10 at 10:30 a.m. ET. One can purchase the NFTs till April 11 at 11:30 p.m. ET. Moreover, WWE will provide the NFTs in four tiers, namely Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The former two tiers have the least opening bids, and the latter two have their prices fixed. As per the reports, the Platinum tier has an opening bid of $10,000. The winner would receive The Undertaker NFT and two front-row tickets for WrestleMania 38 in 2022 and WrestleMania 39 in 2023.

The winner would also receive VIP access, a personalized video message from the Undertaker, hotel accommodations, an original Paul Bearer urn out of the WWE Vault, utilized by the Undertaker, and Paul Bearer signed by the Undertaker. Moreover, it will also involve a personalized WWE Championship Title Belt with the winner’s name inscribed on the side plates. The Gold tier would have an opening bid of $5,000, and the winner would receive the NFT, two front-row-seat tickets at a Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown of their choice in 2021 or 2022 and a personalized video message, and a signed Title Belt.

Moreover, the Silver and Bronze tiers have their prices fixed at $1000 and $100, with limited offerings. As mentioned above, the WWE has collaborated with the Bitski account, and winners will receive the NFTs in their wallets. Further, the WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer, Nick Khan, has elucidated that the NFTs offer fans an opportunity to possess a digital piece of history featuring the Undertaker, one of the most iconic superstars in sports entertainment.
