YouTube Tests New AI Tool For Comment Section Control

  • YouTube experiments with artificial intelligence (AI) tools for comment section control to enhance user experience.
  • The AI tool will categorize comment sections into themes, granting theme-based removal options.
  • While the AI tool may not be perfect, Youtube is seeking feedback.
  • Only premium members will gain early access.

YouTube is currently trying out an experiment with artificial intelligence (AI). Ths company admits that the technologies may not be perfect but it values consumers’ feedback.

“These features are experimental and we may not always get it right. That’s why we’re starting small with limited availability and collecting feedback,” according to the statement.

YouTube is Gradually Introducing An AI Tool

According to a recent statement, Youtube plans to gradually roll out the AI experimental capabilities to select users over the next few months:

“Because these experiments are very small, you might not see them just yet! If you are a Premium member, you may be eligible to test these experiments”

The AI technique will break long-form video comment sections into “easily digestible themes.” Users who previously had limited sorting choices in YouTube comments will now have more control over the content presented in the comments area.

They will be able to remove specific themes selectively:

“If creators want to remove any comment topics, they can delete individual comments that show up under the specific topic.”

The AI Tool Improves Online Security

This development may assist content creators all over the world. The new tool searches for restricted words and users. This relieves authors of the time-consuming process of moderating undesired comments in order to maintain a nice audience experience.

It also adds that users would be able to query about the videos they are watching. This will aid AI in improving recommendation accuracy.

Meanwhile, academic videos will also undergo a transformation. Students that use videos for studying can apparently use the AI technology to facilitate questions and responses, resulting in “deeper understanding.”

This follows OpenAI’s revelation of tasks under development at a recent conference.

On November 7th, OpenAI released GPT-4 Turbo, which has a context window four times larger than its predecessor, ChatGPT.

OpenAI also announced the potential for people to create their own chatbots without any coding knowledge.

This enables users to have individualized AI interactions that are tailored to their daily lives or professional responsibilities.
