How to submit a takedown notice

If you believe material on this Site infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act for, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, for several works, a representative list).
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it, ideally the full URL of each page.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

Counter-notice

If material you supplied was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which BitWorld Media INC may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.

Unless the original complainant tells us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice.

Press releases and event announcements are supplied by the issuing company, which is responsible for having the rights to the text and images it provides. Headlines in the “Latest updates” section of our homepage belong to the publishers named next to them and link to their original articles. If you have a copyright concern about any of this material, the process above applies.

Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, stop publishing material from contributors or clients who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.

Misrepresentation
