During Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, crypto donations have surpassed $36 million

Cryptocurrency donations to Ukraine via official and private channels have surpassed US$36 million, with donations continuing to pour in throughout Russia’s invasion.

As of press time, the Ukrainian government had received 113 BTC and 2,001 ETH, totaling nearly US$10 million.
Binance has promised US$10 million to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Effort, while also starting a crypto-first crowdfunding campaign that has already raised at least 155 BTC (US$6 million).

So, Come Back Alive, a non-profit that raises funds for the Ukrainian military, has raised 181 BTC (US$7 million). However its Patreon account for fiat donations has been closed due to a violation of the platform’s policy on military fundraising.

On an NFT of the Ukrainian flag auctioned by UkraineDAO. That’s, a company founded in part by a member of the iconic Russian feminist rock band Pussy Riot. Which is, over 2,000 people have placed a collective offer worth 1279 ETH (US$3.3 million).

So, As donations pour in, crypto’s involvement in the assault has evolved. Which, includes being given as a reward for surrendering Russian soldiers.

Lastly, Scammers are using the situation to request donations to personal wallet addresses, according to social media users.
