Japan, 28 July 2026 — WebX, Japan’s flagship Web3 conference, has successfully concluded its fourth edition following two days of high-level discussions, product showcases and networking opportunities. The event drew an attendance of 13,641 participants from over 90 countries and featured over 70 side events.

Against the backdrop of Japan’s rapidly evolving digital asset regulatory framework, WebX 2026 became a focal point for discussions on yen stablecoins, tokenization adoption by megabanks, and the rising institutional confidence driving the industry’s growth.

These conversations were led by a distinguished line-up of policymakers, regulators, institutional leaders, founders and technology innovators, including Sanae Takaichi, the Prime Minister of Japan; Katayama Satsuki, Japan’s Minister of Finance; Ryosei Akazawa, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry; Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine; Ian De Bode, CEO of Ondo Finance; John D’Agostino, Head of Strategy at Coinbase; Nischint Sanghavi, Head of Digital Currencies, Asia Pacific at Visa, among many others.

Key Highlights of WebX 2026:

  • Main Conference – Speaker Stages, Workshops and Exhibition Floor: The agenda featured discussions spanning stablecoins, AI, tokenization and digital infrastructure across three speaker stages: CRYL Stage, Binance Stage, and Limitless Stage, complemented by hands-on workshops and an interactive exhibition floor.
  • WebX Stamp Rally: All attendees who completed the WebX Stamp Rally earned the opportunity to participate in a sure-win lucky draw with limited-edition WebX merchandise up for grabs.
  • Business Networking Area: Attendees arranged one-to-one meetings by downloading the Bizzabo event app, building meaningful connections with potential partners, investors and industry peers.
  • WebX 2026 Memory Wall: Decorated with wisteria flowers and Wagasa umbrellas inspired by elements of a traditional Japanese festival, attendees could snap a complimentary Polaroid shot by the WebX memory wall. The wall was constructed from a honeycomb-core board made from 100% recycled paper, made possible by the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
  • WebX 2026 VIP/Speaker Night: Hosted an exclusive networking evening for VIP and Speaker pass holders on day one, connecting industry thought-leadership and senior decision makers in a closed-door setting over dinner and drinks.

Adding on to the conference experience, attendees were invited to unwind and relax in between sessions with complimentary massages and a bowl of matcha through a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Closing the 2-day event with WebX 2026’s official after-party at Zouk Tokyo, bringing attendees together for a night of music, rapport-building and celebration.

WebX 2026 was proudly supported by title sponsors Bitbank, Inc., bitFlyer, Inc., BitLending, eole Inc., SBI Holdings Inc., Simplex, UPCX, Advasa Holdings, Inc.

Building on the momentum of this year’s edition, WebX will return on 25 to 26 August 2027 at Tokyo Big Sight, a venue nearly 1.8 times bigger than this year’s conference. As institutional participation accelerates and Japan continues to strengthen its position as one of Asia’s leading digital asset markets, WebX 2027 will offer an expanded international stage for global leaders to shape the next future of Web3 innovation.

Pre-registration for WebX 2027 will soon be available on www.webx-asia.com/
