Elon Musk Responds to a New DOOM Mode That Pays You to Photograph NFTs

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has highlighted a new non-fungible token mode in the popular first-person shooter DOOM II.

According to Niche Gamer, the mode replaces all of the game’s antagonists with images of NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, which just topped CryptoPunks in terms of floor price.

Players are expected to capture photographs of the upstart Apes. Instead of shooting them in order to kill them and collect insane amounts of money.

The term relates to a longstanding joke among NFT critics known as “right-clickers,”

Of course, who contend that crypto art is useless since it can be downloaded for free. An NFT is essentially a receipt on a decentralized blockchain.

In November, an Australian man made all of the images associated with NFTs available for free on Ethereum and Solana.

Musk shared a meme earlier this month depicting a psychiatrist asking his patient if he’s hallucinating or imagining NFTs. NFTs “jpegged the dollar,” the world’s richest man quipped.
